FAQs
Is it safe to burn candles around pets?
All our candle fragrances meet stringent EU CLP safety regulations for use in candles and melts. Potential allergens are labelled on the base of every candle jar and can be found HERE on our CLP page.
Some animal species, however, can be particularly sensitive to fragrances in the atmosphere so we advise using with caution around pets. Make sure your pets can leave the room if they choose to and do not burn candles in the same room as caged pets. If your pet has known allergies or respiratory conditions, or shows changes in behaviour, please consult with your veterinarian.
Are your candles vegan?
All our candles waxes, wicks and fragrances are vegan, non-toxic, cruelty free, and plastic free.
How sustainable are your candles?
All our products are sourced from UK & EU suppliers. We use European soy wax and rapeseed wax that is from both the UK and Europe. Both waxes are GMO free with a much lower carbon footprint than waxes imported from the USA. Our premium fragrances are formulated here in the UK.
All packaging is 100% plastic free - made predominantly from recycled cardboard and paper - it is all recyclable. The aluminium candle containers can be recycled or refilled**.
**We are planning to launch candle refills in late 2023!! Be the first to know by signing up to receive our occasional newsletter.
How can I get the best from my candle?
Ensure a safe, effective burn by following these candle care tips:
- Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn - this prolongs the life of your candle and ensures a clean burn
- Avoid tunnelling by allowing the candle wax to melt for 3-4 hours on first use
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
- Never leave a candle unattended, out of sight, or near things that can catch fire
- Keep candles away from children and pets
- Discard candle once wax reaches 5mm from bottom of the candle jar
- Burn candles on a level, fire resistant surface
